1. Overview

NMCH Patna is a major government medical college and hospital, offering tertiary care services, medical education, and community health services. Located in eastern Patna, the hospital has over 1000 sanctioned beds and manages ~2,000 OPD visits daily.

2. Hospital Services

• 24x7 emergency services with ICU and trauma care
• OPD, IPD, super-specialty clinics (cardiac, neuro, endocrine, etc.)
• Modern diagnostic labs – radiology, pathology, CT scan, ultrasound
• Computerized patient registration and referral system
• 9 major operation theaters, burn units, neonatal ICU

3. Infrastructure & Expansion

A new 100-bed medicine ward was inaugurated in May 2025. The hospital campus is spread over ~100 acres, with continuous infrastructure upgrades to enhance patient care.

• MBBS intake of 150 students/year, MD/MS PG programs
