A very important Training programme for Trainee JUDGES & MAGISTRATES.
A very important Training programme cum orientation for Trainee JUDGES & MAGISTRATES was held in my Deptt of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Nalanda Medical college under my supervision & guidance on 28th & 29th January 2026! The would be esteemed Judges were taught some intricates of this intriguing Deptt & were also given training on the nitty gritty of Autopsy examination & other Medicolegal issues! Two days of brainstorming sessions.

Operated 4 cases of spine
Last month we operated upon 4 cases of spine. The first one was a spinal tumor with paraparesis, The second with cervical myelopathy had c3 to c5 lateral mass screw fixation, The third patient had an intraspinal tumor with DDD which we managed with excision and fixation in single stage. The fourth patient had epidural abscess with Potts discitis which was manged with costotransversectomy and fixation. We are able to let go all the patients in good neurological grade.

Health Mela Conducted as a part of CFD in the Hospital campus on 24.03.25. Health Mela was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri. Ashok Choudhary, Honourable Minister, Rural Development, Government of Bihar.

15 Stalls of different departments actively participated in the Health Mela to create Public Awareness.

Inaugural Ceremony for the Literary Society

COLLEGE FOUNDATION DAY 2025

Literary Society of Nalanda Medical College, Patna, organised Debate, Elocution and Extempore competition under the patronage of respected Principal, Dr Prof. Usha Kumari. Chairpersons Dr Prof Rashmi Prasad, Dr Prof P D Vermaand CoChairpersons Dr Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Dr Shilpi Ranjan, Dr Sandhya Kumari Suman and Dr Zeba Alam and Organising batch 2021 were present. A very competitive atmosphere prevailed in the College Auditorium with judges Dr Prof B P Jaiswal, Dr Prof Sanjay Kumar and Dr Prof R R Das. About 250-300 persons were present.

The inaugural ceremony of Sports Day celebrations

The inaugural ceremony of sports day celebrations sponsored by Athletic society of Nalanda Medical College, Patna was conducted on 19th of March in the college cricket ground. The principal, Dr. Prof. Usha Kumari, kick started the function by lighting the lamp. The group of teachers under the leadership of the Principal Dr. Prof. Usha Kumari released balloon to commemorate the occasion. Principal Dr. Prof. Usha Kumari, Dr. Prof. Ajay Kumar Sinha, Dr R R Das & Prof. Dr Santosh Kumar blessed the students with their words of wisdom. Others present were Dr. Prof. Rashmi Prasad Dr. Prof. Vijay Kumar Sinha, Dr. Prof. Moti Lal Das and many senior and Junior faculty members. A friendly cricket match was played between teams of teachers and students on the college cricket ground under the captaincy of chairman of athletic society Dr professor Santosh Kumar. The team of teachers comprehensively won the friendly match. A tug of war was held between group of teachers and students. A musical chair was also played by female teachers on the occasion. Dr. Prof, Usha Kumari and Dr. Prof. Rashmi Prasad were declared joint winners of the musical chairs game. Towards the end female students also played the musical chairs. The pomp, joy and enthusiasm of the teachers and students was quite obvious. The sports events will continue for next 15 days and will end with the foundation day celebration on 2nd of April. During the celebrations different kind of games will be played including cricket, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, night cricket, Ludo & chess etc.
